Home2024 Fall Strength and Conditioning Pilot

GHCH and KW Cycling Academy will be collaborating on a strength and conditioning pilot program for youth cyclists.


Sessions will be lead by KW Cycling Academy coach Amy Maher and held at "The Hub", GHCH clubhouse located at 385 Jerseyville Road West, Ancaster. The sessions will run Monday nights starting September 16, 2024 to October 21, 2024, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.


Participants will train using resistance bands and body weight to build strength and improve conditioning. Sessions will consist of a warm-up, 20-30-minute outdoor run followed by the indoor strength and conditioning session and cool down.


Participants will be required to come dressed to participate in indoor and outdoor activities and have running shoes. Yoga mats and resistance bands will be supplied, If a participant would like to use their own yoga mat or resistance bands they are welcome to bring them. Please put something on anything you bring to easily identify it as yours. The pilot is being incorporated into the GHCH Fall Program and is being offered at no additional cost.


KW members are asked to register for the sessions for insurance purposes and attendance tracking.
